Every year when it rolls around, we wonder why it's named "Labor Day" instead of Relax Day, Lazy Day, Off Day, or Sleep In Day. We know what "labor" means and typically everyone celebrates by doing the opposite - NOT laboring. Even though the holiday has passed, we wanted to give you a brief history of this great holiday!
Labor Day came about because workers felt they were spending too many hours and days on the job. In the 1830's, manufacturing workers were averaging 70-hour weeks. In 1890, work hours had dropped to an average of 60-hour weeks. These long working hours caused unions to focus on winning a shorter 8-hour workday and getting more days off. These early organizers won and becan to shape our modern day work-week.
Surprisingly, many business owners were in favor of giving workers more time off because it gave them more free time to spend their wages to stimulate the economy.
Some of your friends, neighbors, associates, or relatives may be wanting to take advantage of this RED HOT market and purchase their dream home. Well - we can definitely help them with that and help the kids at Children's Hospital Foundation at the same time.

Your Referrals Help the Kids!
When you refer someone to Kerr Team, you're helping fantastic kids like Hutton at Children's Hospital of Oklahoma. See his story below:
Hutton was diagnosed with Tricuspid Atresia, a congenital heart disease, before he was born. His care for this condition began immediately after his birth. Treatments consisted of ultrasounds and breathing support. At three days old, he had his first surgery followed by another one three weeks later. After 57 days in-patient, Hutch was able to go home - thanks to the services of Children's Heart Center's "Hearts at Home" program. He is growing and thriving outside of the hospital. Hutton loves face-to-face time with family and laughing at his big brother.
Please remember that your referrals help the kids!
We believe that giving back to the community is incredibly important. That's why we're on a mission to donate $25,000 to Children's Hospital Foundation. When you refer those you know who are considering a move, you can rest assured that they will receive the best service possible and that a portion of the income we receive goes towards a very worthy cause!

In a large mixing bowl, combine vanilla cake mix with canned pumpkin, top graham cracker crusts with batter. Bake about 22 minutes. Let cool slightly. Add chocolate chips to a heatproof bowl. Pumpking Pie Dip
2 Cups Heavy Cream
Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
1/2 Cup Canned Pumpkin
2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
Ginger Snap Cookies (for serving)
In a stand mixer, beat heavy cream and vanilla pudding mix until stiff peaks form (about 1 or 2 minutes). Add pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. Stir to combine. Chill if desired and serve with giner snaps.
Preheat oven to 375. Grease medium baking dish with cooking spray. In a small bowl, whisk together butter, sugars, and cinnamon. Slice top off each apple. Use melon baller (or teaspoon) to scoop out the core. Using a paring knife, make two circular cuts in each apple. Place apple cut side down on a cutting board and slice crosswise (be careful not to cut through the core). Place cut apples in a small baking dish. Fill each apple with two caramel squares then brush melted butter mixture on top. Bake about 30 minutes (until tender). Serve warm with ice cream and drizzle with caramel.
